Client field note — March 2025

"Within five months of starting our engagement, we restructured our leadership team, clarified our revenue model, and grew net margin by fourteen percent. The coaching wasn't motivational fluff — it was surgical."
— Renée Tremblay, founder of Altitude SaaS, Québec City

Most coaching engagements fail because they start with inspiration instead of diagnosis. We begin differently: with evidence, with your numbers, and with the specific decisions keeping you awake at three in the morning.

This dossier walks you through exactly how our business coaching methodology works, who it serves best, and what it demands of you before we ever schedule a first session.

Business coaching built on decisions, not platitudes

Dynamic Growth Guides provides strategic business coaching for founders, executive teams, and owner-operators navigating complexity. We do not offer generic advice. We build bespoke decision architectures that let you move faster with less regret. Every engagement begins with a diagnostic, proceeds through structured accountability cycles, and ends only when you have internalized the frameworks yourself.

Is this the right fit? A candid assessment

We deliberately turn away roughly a third of inquiries. Business coaching only works when the leader is ready to confront uncomfortable truths about their own decision-making patterns, delegation gaps, and strategic blind spots.

If you are looking for someone to validate decisions you have already made, we are not the right partner. If you want a structured thinking partner who will challenge your assumptions and hold you accountable to the outcomes you say matter most, keep reading.

Our clients tend to share a few traits: intellectual honesty, a bias toward action, and the willingness to invest time in structured reflection between sessions. The coaching relationship is intensive — typically ninety-minute sessions every two weeks, with asynchronous check-ins and decision-log reviews in between.

The operating framework behind our coaching

Rather than following a rigid program, we draw from a modular framework that adapts to where you are right now. Each module addresses a distinct leadership challenge.

01

Decision architecture

We map how decisions currently flow through your organization, identify bottlenecks, and redesign the decision rights so the right people make the right calls at the right speed. This alone often unlocks weeks of lost velocity.

02

Revenue clarity lens

Many founders cannot articulate their unit economics cleanly. We work through your revenue model line by line until you can explain — and defend — your pricing, margins, and customer lifetime value to any stakeholder.

03

Leadership bandwidth audit

Where is your attention going? We conduct a structured audit of how you spend your hours, then ruthlessly reallocate your calendar toward the activities that only you can do. Delegation is not abdication — it is architecture.

04

Strategic narrative design

Your team, investors, and customers all need a coherent story about where you are headed and why. We help you craft a strategic narrative that aligns internal execution with external positioning — without the jargon.

05

Accountability cadence

Goals without rhythm are wishes. We install a lightweight accountability cadence — weekly commitments, bi-weekly reviews, quarterly recalibrations — that keeps momentum even when the market shifts underneath you.

What an engagement actually looks like

Diagnostic intake

A ninety-minute deep dive into your business, leadership style, and the three decisions you are currently avoiding.

Framework selection

We choose which modules to activate based on your diagnostic results — no two engagements look identical.

Structured sessions

Bi-weekly coaching sessions with pre-work, real-time problem solving, and documented commitments.

Async accountability

Between sessions: decision-log reviews, voice-note check-ins, and rapid-response strategic counsel.

Graduation

When you have internalized the frameworks, we step back. Most engagements run six to twelve months.

The coaching relationship is not comfortable — it is productive

We will ask you questions your team is afraid to ask. We will challenge the assumptions you have held for years. And we will hold you to the commitments you make in session, not because we are harsh, but because you hired us to be the one person in your orbit who does not benefit from telling you what you want to hear.

"The hardest part was admitting that I was the bottleneck. Once I accepted that, everything moved faster. My coach didn't let me hide from it."— Dominique Lavoie, CEO, Forge Distribution

Capability map: what we coach, specifically

Not every coach can address every challenge. Here is a transparent view of where our expertise runs deep and where we refer out.

Founder scaling transitions

Moving from operator to executive. Hiring your first leadership layer. Learning to lead through others instead of doing everything yourself.

Deep expertise

Pricing and margin strategy

Rebuilding your pricing model to reflect actual value delivered. Eliminating margin leaks. Structuring proposals that close faster.

Deep expertise

Team alignment and conflict

Resolving leadership team dysfunction, clarifying roles, and building a meeting rhythm that actually drives decisions instead of consuming time.

Strong capability

Market positioning

Defining your competitive differentiation, refining your messaging, and aligning sales conversations with strategic intent.

Strong capability

Technical product decisions

We do not coach on technology architecture or product engineering. If this is your primary need, we partner with specialist advisors and can make introductions.

We focus exclusively on business outcomes. While leadership health matters, we are not licensed therapists and do not position ourselves as such.

Outside scope

A note on methodology

Our approach draws from decision science, systems thinking, and two decades of direct operational experience in growth-stage businesses across Canada and the northeastern United States. We do not subscribe to any single coaching certification orthodoxy, though our practitioners hold credentials from the International Coaching Federation and have completed advanced training in organizational psychology.

What sets our business coaching apart is the emphasis on decision quality as the primary metric. We do not measure success by how inspired you feel after a session. We measure it by whether the decisions you make in the following two weeks are faster, clearer, and more aligned with your stated strategic priorities.

Every engagement includes a mid-point review where we assess whether the coaching relationship is delivering measurable value. If it is not, we end it — and refund the remaining balance. We have done this twice in seven years. Both times, the client came back six months later when the timing was right.

"I have worked with three coaches over twelve years. This is the first time I felt like the coach understood my business as well as I do — and could still see things I couldn't."
— Marc-André Gagnon, managing partner, Boréal Ventures

Before you reach out: a readiness checklist

You can commit ninety minutes every two weeks

Plus thirty minutes of pre-work. If your calendar cannot absorb this, coaching will not stick.

You have a specific business challenge, not a vague feeling

"I need to restructure my sales team" is coachable. "I just feel stuck" needs more exploration first.

You are willing to share real numbers

Revenue, margins, team costs, customer metrics. We cannot coach in the dark.

You can invest in the engagement financially

Our engagements start at $3,200 per month. This is not a casual expense — it is a strategic investment with expected return.

Start a conversation

If the dossier above resonated, the next step is a brief diagnostic call — thirty minutes, no charge, no obligation. We will ask you five questions about your business and tell you honestly whether we think coaching is the right lever for your current situation.
